/  Blog   /  Wedding Photography Cost in Nashik: A Complete 2026 Price Guide

Working out the wedding photography cost in Nashik is harder than it should be. Ask five studios for a price and you get five numbers that are not comparable, because each one is quietly counting a different number of days, a different team size and a different album. This guide sets out what the Nashik market actually publishes in 2026, what moves the number up and down, and what to check before you put two quotes side by side.

Nashik wedding photography price bands

Nashik generally sits below Mumbai and Pune for the same standard of work, mainly because crew and travel costs are lower here. The figures below are published by third-party listing platforms. They are not our rates, and they are best read as bands rather than a price list.

  • Listings on WedMeGood for Nashik run from roughly Rs.30,000 to Rs.80,000 per day for photo and video together, with most vendors sitting around Rs.35,000 to Rs.45,000 per day. Shorter four-hour functions are listed at about Rs.15,000 to Rs.40,000.
  • WeddingWire lists Nashik photographers with starting prices from Rs.20,000 up to Rs.1,29,000, and summarises single-day weddings at Rs.25,000 to Rs.1,50,000 and three-day packages at Rs.75,000 to Rs.4,00,000 and above.
  • BookEventz describes the Nashik wedding package as starting between Rs.15,000 and Rs.80,000 a day.
  • As a wider cross-check, the 2026 India guide from Velvet Knot puts mid-tier coverage of a full two to three day wedding in tier-2 cities at Rs.1 lakh to Rs.2.5 lakh.

Two things to read carefully. The bottom of every one of those ranges is one photographer for part of a day, not a wedding team. And photography and videography services carry 18% GST (per IndiaFilings), so a quote of Rs.1,00,000 leaves your account as Rs.1,18,000. Always ask whether the number in front of you is inclusive.

What a 4-member vs 5-member team actually changes

Four people and five people sound like a rounding difference on a quote. On the day it is not.

A four-member team is usually a lead photographer, a candid photographer, a traditional videographer and a cinematographer. That covers one room at a time, and it works well for a compact wedding where everything happens in sequence in a single hall.

The fifth person is normally either a second candid photographer or a dedicated lighting assistant, and they earn their place in exactly one situation: when two things happen at once. The bride is getting ready upstairs while the baraat is arriving at the gate. The haldi is running in the courtyard while guests are being received inside. With four people you have to choose. With five you do not.

Priced on its own, Velvet Knot puts a second shooter at Rs.40,000 to Rs.1.5 lakh per event across India. A lighting assistant costs less than a second shooter, but changes every indoor frame after sunset, which at a Nashik reception is most of the evening.

So the question is not how many people are coming. It is who is holding a camera, who is holding a light, and whether the photographer whose work you actually liked is one of them.

Single day vs multi-day: haldi, mehndi and reception

A Marathi wedding is rarely one event. Halad chadavane, mehndi, sangeet, the wedding muhurat itself and the reception can spread across three or four days, and each one is a separate call time for a full team.

Velvet Knot puts each additional event day at Rs.40,000 to Rs.1.5 lakh in the Indian market, and the Nashik listings tell the same story: WeddingWire shows single-day coverage at Rs.25,000 to Rs.1,50,000 against three-day packages at Rs.75,000 to Rs.4,00,000 and above.

Two practical points. Many Marathi weddings are held on morning muhurats, which means the team is at the venue well before sunrise and the working day is far longer than the ceremony hours suggest. And a reception in a banquet hall is a lighting job as much as a photography job. If a quote covers the reception with the same team and no extra lighting, ask how that is going to work.

If the budget will not stretch to every function, cover the ones that cannot be repeated. The muhurat and the haldi happen once. A reception portrait is far easier to recreate than the moment behind the antarpat.

Album and print costs explained

This is where quotes get vague. The words “album included” are not information.

Velvet Knot puts album printing in India at Rs.25,000 to Rs.2 lakh for a base 30-page album. The spread is that wide because four separate things move the price, as Photojaanic sets out:

  • Sheets, not pages. One sheet is two printed pages, and a typical Indian wedding album runs 20 to 40 sheets. A 40-page album and a 40-sheet album are two very different books.
  • Paper. Matte and gloss at the budget end, luster silk as the usual standard, premium art gloss and layflat board sheets above that.
  • Size. Anywhere from 5×5 inches to 12×12 inches.
  • Cover. Softcover, then hardcover, layflat, leather, and leather with a folio box, in roughly that order of cost.

Before you accept an album as included, get four numbers in writing: sheet count, size in inches, paper type and cover type. Extra copies for both sets of parents are usually charged per copy, and ordering reprints a year later costs more than ordering them together at the start.

Questions to ask before you compare two quotes

Two quotes Rs.40,000 apart are often not comparable at all. Before you decide, check that both of them state:

  • Which functions are covered, with a call time and a finish time for each
  • Exactly how many people attend, what each one does, and who leads
  • Whether the photographer whose portfolio you saw is personally shooting your wedding
  • How many edited photographs you receive, and the delivery timeline in weeks
  • Album specification: sheets, size, paper, cover, and how many copies
  • Whether a cinematic film is included, how long it is, and when it arrives
  • Drone coverage, if you want it, and whether your venue and date allow it
  • Travel and stay for outstation functions, listed as a separate line
  • Whether GST is inside the figure or on top of it
  • Advance, payment stages, and the cancellation terms

If a studio cannot put all of that on one page, the price is not the thing you should be worried about.

Frequently asked questions

What is a realistic budget for a one-day wedding in Nashik?

Published Nashik listings put single-day coverage at roughly Rs.25,000 to Rs.1,50,000 on WeddingWire, with most WedMeGood vendors clustering around Rs.35,000 to Rs.45,000 per day for photo and video. Where you land inside that depends mostly on team size and whether a cinematic film is included.

Is GST charged on top of the quote?

Photography and videography services attract 18% GST. Some quotes include it and many do not. Ask which, because on a Rs.2 lakh wedding that is Rs.36,000.

How much does an extra day of coverage add?

Across India, an additional event day is commonly quoted at Rs.40,000 to Rs.1.5 lakh, per Velvet Knot. The Nashik gap between single-day and three-day listings follows roughly the same pattern.

Should we book a separate pre-wedding shoot?

It is a separate production with its own day rate, its own locations and, at some spots, its own permit fee. If you are weighing it up, we have written a full breakdown of pre-wedding shoot costs in Nashik.

How far in advance should we book?

For a November to February date, several months. Muhurat dates and peak-season weekends go first, and no photographer can shoot two weddings on the same morning.

Do we get the raw unedited files?

Usually not, and that is standard practice rather than something being withheld. Editing is most of the work. What you should get in writing is the number of edited images and when they arrive.

Planning a wedding in Nashik?

We are based in Nashik and have been photographing weddings for over seven years. Pavan personally leads every shoot, so you will not meet one photographer at the meeting and a different one at your mandap. Alongside weddings we cover pre-weddings, events, maternity and corporate work, and we travel across India and internationally for couples who want it, like this shoot in Goa.

Tell us your dates, your functions and your budget, and we will send you a quote that lists the team, the album specification and the GST separately, so you can actually compare it against the other one on your table.
